Santa Claus is coming to Starkville Academy and Sudduth Elementary

Santa made a quick trip to Starkville this morning to help us shoot our school photo samples.  Thanks so much to the Gladney/Beamer family; Shelton and Elliott families.  Had a GREAT time, so excited to be able to do the school photos with Santa at both Starkville Academy and Sudduth Elementary this year. In studio session dates will be announced soon. We will be at Starkville Academy on Tuesday 10/15.  there will be a special time for parents to bring in younger siblings for photos during that day. Sudduth Elementary Santa will visit your school on Thursday 10/17.

Starkville Academy Senior Morgan Lyle - first look Senior Photos

Saturday morning started out slightly cooler with maybe even a hint of fall in the air which was welcome relief for the High School senior casual session we had planned for Morgan Lyle of Starkville Academy.  Even the deer at her Grandmothers house thought it was a good morning to be photographed!  Bailey B, Anna H, and I had a great morning of shooting with Morgan. In the process we met Morgan's grandmother and discovered another new location where we can shoot.  It was very difficult to narrow the over 400 images down to these 10.  So many cute smiles and fun expressions, I think I can speak for all of us at the studio that this was the ideal way to start a Saturday morning.  thanks Morgan for allowing us to have a little fun and photograph YOUR Senior Portraits.

SA vs. Presbyterian Christian JV Football from 8/25/11

Had a great night of shooting at the Starkville Academy JV Football game with Presbyterian Christian School from Hattiesburg in spite of the heat and then the mosquito's once the sun started setting.

SA vs. Presbyterian Christian 7th Grade Football

Football is not suppose to be this hot, ready for this weekend and some cooler weather.  But no matter the weather, we were out and photographed the SA vs. Presbyterian Christian 7th grade and JV football games tonight.  7th grade is edited and will go on website yet tonight.  JV will be uploaded during day on Friday.  Here is some of the better images form the 7th grade game.

Stanley Childs - Senior Football Photo

Starkville High School Senior Stanley Childs came back into studio after football practice tonight to see if we could capture the rest of his personality. We had an amazing session and I am thrilled with the images that came from this extreme session.  We took some risks with Stanley and they paid huge dividends, What do you think?

We had a great session with Starkville High Senior Stanley Childs on Saturday, but when session was done I just didn't think we had captured his whole personality.  So we set another session for Wednesday night when he could bring his football gear to the studio.  So here ar e some of the first images from the Saturday shoot.

Ellen Weatherly Book Cover photo

Ellen Weatherly came into the studio this week to get a portrait for the cover of her new book about her father.  I have known Ellen's husband Charles since joining the Starkville, MS Kiwanis Club 12 years ago, but had never really talked to Ellen.  she has as many fascinating stories as Charles, just can't get them told with him around, so she wrote a book and is getting it published.  Really enjoyed getting to know her a little bit while taking her portrait.  Can't wait for the book to be published and picking up a copy.
